Sigma (2026) is a Tamil action-heist thriller that marks the directorial debut of Jason Sanjay. Set in Vizag, the story follows Guru (Sundeep Kishan), a young man who runs a small home library that once belonged to his late mother. The library is his only link to her memory, but it is drowning under his father’s debt of one crore rupees, and creditors are closing in from every side.

Desperate for quick money, Guru steps into the city’s underground world of gambling dens and backdoor casinos. There he loses money he cannot afford to lose, but he also stumbles upon something far more valuable — evidence connected to a dangerous drug called Ceaser and the men who trade in it. Seeing a chance to turn the tables, Guru decides to blackmail the dealers and use the payout to clear his family’s debt once and for all.

What Guru does not know is that the men he is threatening are only small pieces of a much bigger machine. The entire racket — drugs, gambling and a fortune worth hundreds of crores — is controlled from the shadows by the ruthless smuggler Reddy (Sampath Raj). With help from Sam (Faria Abdullah), the spirited radio jockey he loves, and his loyal friends, Guru puts together a daring heist, even as Reddy’s network tightens the noose around him.

Packed with chases, double-crosses and sudden twists, Sigma follows an ordinary young man who must outthink criminals far more powerful than him, where one wrong move could cost him the library, his family and his life. Driven by Sundeep Kishan’s energetic performance and Thaman S’s pulsating score, the film blends action, comedy and emotion into a high-stakes entertainer about debt, loyalty and the price of one desperate gamble.
