The Devil Wears Prada 2 (2026) is a comedy-drama sequel that returns to the glamorous and ruthless world of Runway magazine, nearly twenty years after the original film became a cultural phenomenon. Meryl Streep is back as the formidable editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, whose icy authority and perfect taste now face the biggest challenge of her long and legendary career.
The world Miranda ruled has changed beyond recognition. Print advertising is drying up, glossy magazines are closing their doors, and digital upstarts and influencers command the attention she once owned completely. To keep Runway powerful, Miranda needs the advertising money of a giant luxury group — but the hard-nosed executive who controls that budget is Emily Charlton, her own former junior assistant, played by Emily Blunt, now a wealthy rival with every reason to make her old boss beg.
Caught between the two women is Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, who walked away from Runway long ago to build a quieter and more honest life, only to be pulled back into its glittering orbit when everyone’s plans seem to require her. Stanley Tucci returns as Nigel, the magazine’s witty creative director, whose loyalty to Miranda is tested by the professional chance he has waited a lifetime to receive.
Directed by David Frankel and reuniting the beloved original cast, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is a sharp, funny and surprisingly warm story about fashion, power and survival in a media world that waits for no one. Old loyalties, buried resentments and hard-won second chances all come back into play as these familiar faces circle each other once again. Beneath the designer outfits and the withering one-liners, it asks what it truly costs to stay on top when the world you once ruled has quietly moved on without you.
