Drishyam 3 (2026) is a Malayalam crime thriller that brings back Georgekutty, Indian cinema’s most famous family man, for one final game of cat and mouse. Years after he buried the truth to protect his family, the past refuses to stay buried, and Georgekutty must once again stay several steps ahead of the law to keep his wife Rani and his daughters Anju and Anu safe from a case that will not die.

Life has moved on for the Georgekutty family — he runs his theatre, the girls have grown, and the family tries hard to live like ordinary people. But the shadow of the old case has never truly left them. When fresh developments, a new lead and a reopened line of inquiry drag the investigation back to life, the police return with sharper questions and a firm determination to finish what they started years ago. The family’s hard-won peace begins to crack under the renewed pressure.

As always, Georgekutty responds the only way he knows — by thinking several moves ahead of everyone else. Drawing on his deep love of cinema and his unmatched calm under pressure, he weaves another careful plan to shield his family, while the emotional toll on Rani and the girls grows heavier than ever before. Every casual conversation becomes a risk, every visitor a possible threat, and every small mistake could bring the whole truth crashing down.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 closes one of Indian cinema’s most loved thriller sagas with suspense, emotion and Mohanlal’s masterful restraint in the lead role. It is a story about how far an ordinary father will go for his family, and about the heavy price of living with a secret — a fitting final chapter to the legend of Georgekutty.
