Mirzapur: The Movie (2026) is a Hindi crime action drama that carries the cult world of the Mirzapur web series onto the big screen. Pankaj Tripathi returns as Kaleen Bhaiya, the soft-spoken carpet baron who rules the lawless Purvanchal city of Mirzapur with an iron hand — a throne that a great many men are willing to kill and die for.

The film weaves back into the raw, violent era of the story’s early days, when the battle for Mirzapur’s gaddi was at its fiercest. Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), hungry and reckless, and Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu), the impatient heir who wants the crown before his time, are drawn once more into a contest where one wrong move is paid for in blood, while Jitendra Kumar joins the ensemble as fresh equations begin to form.

Old enemies resurface and ambitious new contenders rise as guns, politics and business collide in the city’s underworld. Every character in Mirzapur carries a debt — of money, of loyalty, of blood — and sooner or later, every debt comes due. Shifting alliances and sudden betrayals keep the balance of power trembling as the fight for the throne turns more brutal with every passing day. In the lanes of Mirzapur, respect is currency and fear is law, and everyone — from the smallest gunman to the biggest don — is playing the same dangerous game.

Made for the fans who turned the series into a phenomenon, Mirzapur: The Movie delivers the franchise’s trademark mix of gritty action, razor-edged dialogue and unforgettable characters on a far grander canvas. It is a story about power and its price — about what men will do to rule a city, and what ruling it ends up costing them.
