Ayalaan (2024) is a Tamil science-fiction comedy that brings a friendly alien to the busy streets of Chennai. The film follows Tamizh, a gentle, good-hearted young man who cannot bear to see any living creature suffer and spends his days rescuing animals and helping strangers. His quiet, simple life changes forever one day when he crosses paths with a small, lost visitor who has arrived from another world.

The visitor is a kind alien whose spacecraft has crashed on Earth, leaving him stranded far from his home. Tamizh names his new friend Tattoo, and the two form a warm, funny bond as the alien experiences human life, food and friendship for the very first time. Together they enjoy simple pleasures and small adventures around the city, while Tamizh promises to help his unusual friend find a way back to his own distant planet.

But the alien’s arrival has not gone unnoticed by everyone. A wealthy, ruthless businessman and his team of scientists are hunting the visitor and a mysterious cosmic substance connected to his ship, hoping to exploit its immense power for their own selfish gain. As their search closes in, Tamizh and his friends must hide Tattoo, outwit high-tech pursuers and protect the Earth itself from a greedy plan that could put all of nature in grave danger.

Ayalaan delights with its playful humour, its lovable alien created through impressive visual effects and its gentle message about caring for every living being on the planet. Blending science fiction with warm family entertainment, it is a colourful adventure about an unlikely friendship — proof that kindness needs no common language, and that sometimes the smallest guest from the stars can teach humans the biggest lessons about their own home.
