Coyote vs. Acme 2026

Summary:

Coyote vs. Acme finally gives Wile E. Coyote his day in court in a live-action and animation courtroom comedy decades in the making, as the endlessly unlucky coyote decides he has suffered enough. After a lifetime of exploding rockets, faulty roller skates and anvils that never quite worked as advertised, Wile E. sues the Acme Corporation for its dangerously defective products.

To argue his case, the coyote hires a struggling, good-hearted lawyer who needs a win just as badly as his client does. Together they dig through decades of Acme catalogues, crash-test evidence and witness statements from the desert, building a David-versus-Goliath case that turns into a media sensation and draws familiar faces from the Looney Tunes world into the courtroom chaos. Old film clips of rocket-powered disasters become key exhibits, and each new witness, from delivery drivers to desert residents, adds another hilarious piece to the coyote’s lifelong catalogue of Acme-related misfortune.

Standing against them is Acme’s smooth, intimidating boss, played with relish by John Cena, whose legal team will do anything to protect the company’s squeaky-clean image. Will Forte brings warmth and comic desperation to the underdog lawyer, while Lana Condor, Luis Guzman and Eric Bauza round out a cast that blends heartfelt storytelling with classic cartoon anarchy, exploding evidence exhibits included.

Smart, silly, inventive and surprisingly moving throughout, Coyote vs. Acme is both a love letter to vintage cartoons and a fresh, crowd-pleasing underdog story about standing up to a giant corporation. Every failed gadget in Coyote history becomes evidence, every courtroom objection another setup for a gag, in a film that lets animation’s most determined, resilient loser chase the one long-awaited victory that has always escaped him.
