Be careful what you wish for, especially when it comes to love. A shy young man, tired of watching his crush slip through his fingers, buys a strange novelty item said to grant a romantic wish. When he wishes that she would fall in love with him, it seems to work instantly, and his quiet longing turns into the relationship he always dreamed about.

At first, everything feels perfect. She calls constantly, wants to spend every moment together and remembers every small detail about him. But the devotion quickly becomes suffocating, then frightening, as jealousy and possessiveness take hold. Friends notice the change, warnings are ignored, and small incidents begin to suggest that this love is not natural at all, but something forced and deeply wrong. Even ordinary moments, a missed call or a casual conversation, begin to trigger alarming reactions.

Michael Johnston and Inde Navarrette lead a tense story that blends romance with creeping psychological horror. The film asks uncomfortable questions about consent, loneliness and the fantasy of being wanted completely by another person. As the obsession grows more dangerous, he realises that undoing a wish may be far harder than making one, and the price could be deadly. The closer he looks for a way out, the tighter her grip becomes.

With its intimate setting and mounting dread, Obsession turns a simple premise into a chilling cautionary tale. Every smile hides a threat, every tender moment carries a warning, and escape feels less possible with each passing day. It is a disturbing, gripping thriller about desire twisted out of control, and the terror of being loved far too much. Its quiet, slow-burning style makes each revelation land harder, leaving a lingering unease long after the final scene ends.
