In a remote village surrounded by a dense and feared forest, people live by age-old rules that no one dares to question. The forest is believed to be guarded by a powerful force known as Vvaan, and anyone who enters its forbidden core after sunset is said to never return the same. Old stories, rituals and whispered warnings keep the villagers away, even as strange disappearances begin to disturb their quiet life.
When a determined young man arrives in the village with questions about his past, he refuses to accept the legends at face value. He meets a spirited local woman who knows the forest paths, the festivals and the fears of her people better than anyone. Together they begin to notice signs that others ignore, from silent trees and strange sounds at night to symbols carved long ago and deliberately hidden from outsiders.
As tensions rise, the village elders insist that the old rituals must be followed without question, while a few restless voices use humour and bravado to hide their own fear. A festive gathering turns uneasy, relationships are tested, and the line between faith, superstition and a real threat grows thinner. The forest seems to respond to every intrusion, and buried family secrets slowly begin to surface in the village.
The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest is a folk horror-thriller that blends Indian forest folklore, fantasy and emotional drama into an atmospheric story. It explores how fear can protect a community and also trap it, and how courage sometimes means listening to the land itself. With mystery, striking visuals and strong performances, the film builds towards a confrontation between people, belief and an ancient force. Its songs, silences and night sequences deepen the mood, making the forest feel like a living character throughout the story.
