Nirmal Singh’s unusual household is back. After the events of the first film, Nirmal continues to live under one roof with his two wives, whose rivalry once turned the house into a battlefield of jealousy, plotting and hilarious one-upmanship. Just when the family starts finding an uneasy balance, a fresh twist arrives to shake everything up again.

This time the chaos doubles when Nirmal’s dominating mother becomes more involved in the family’s affairs and a new presence enters the home, giving both wives a common reason to feel insecure. The two saunkans, who can barely agree on anything, find themselves torn between fighting each other and joining hands to protect their place in Nirmal’s life and in the household.

Caught between his mother, his two wives and the expectations of the whole village, poor Nirmal runs from one disaster to another. Every attempt he makes to restore peace creates a bigger misunderstanding, leading to runaway plans, secret alliances and laugh-out-loud situations that only a Punjabi family comedy can deliver, all wrapped in warmth and emotion.

Saunkan Saunkanay 2 is a fun-filled family entertainer that reunites Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta and Nimrat Khaira in their much-loved roles, with Nirmal Rishi stealing scenes as the formidable mother. Loaded with sharp comedy, catchy music and heartfelt family moments, this sequel proved to be one of the most enjoyed Punjabi films of 2025 and a perfect watch for the whole family.
